About

Brazilian artist with Italian heritage, Roberta was born in Porto Alegre/BR, and currently lives in Rome/IT. She have been developing her critical work through the oil paintings around Brazil, Portugal and Italy since 2020.

Proposal

The dialectical movement can be considered as the guiding thread of the analysis carried out in this work. She investigate the contradiction of normative life, as a critical way to see the human organization.

The androgen body is one of the main strategies to unfold the relationship between painting and observer. The artist began to investigate the idea of the body, face, and your relationship with the humanity.  The main point of this production is to arouse strangeness (the moment when the relationship between painting and the observer begins).

''The process of socialization of art creates an inseparable relationship between individual and social. Therefore, dialectically, the work of art is not a purely individual creation, as it reflects all the characteristics of the context that permeate the artist, who is never an isolated being, but is in constant relationship with others and the environment.''
